No internet this morning AGAIN

This morning when i switched on my p.c.i had no connection,i switched off the router at the mains & left it for about 5 mins,switched back on & it connected again.
It is quite a small village i live in so i jumped in the car & had a drive around,i found an openreach van running about checking things,so i don,t know if it was him causing this.
I ran a few speed tests & it slowly came back up to where my d/load speed should be but my upload speed is less than half of what it should be,any ideas.

No need to raise a fault straight away. For the time being, it's worth monitoring.

I had no internet this morning again,there is something wrong here as i have never had this in over 3 years of being signed up to PN.

My line crackling like mad,my internet cutting in & out,this is getting worse now & needs looking  at.
You could phone me & hear my line if you like.

We need to sort the telephone out first. Please forgive, me, I think you've answered this elsewhere. Can you please confirm what tests you've done in regard to the phone? I ask as no phone fault has been found, and so we need to send an engineer with the potential of a call out charge.

I have unplugged my cordless phone & plugged a brand new corded phone into the test socket & the line crackling has steadily got worse today.

The connection is cutting in & out.

We need to get the crackle sorted first, as it is more than likely causing the fibre issues (it's certainly not helping).

My phone line is even worse now,struggling to get a dial tone now,i really need my phone line as my mother is now 90 this year & i have to be able to get in touch with & vice versa.

Until you get openreach out to fix your phone line noise it won't get better.  But the day of the visit a bit of advice, make sure that the engineer does not rely on the machine it uses to check for faults, get it to physically listen to the crackling, some will not until you push them.
