No internet since G.INP activated on my line

Ticket 101493614.
Unfortunately I have no idea what the first-line support chap on the phone has reported upwards, as the ticket doesn't say. From what was tried during the one hour 48-minute phone call I'm fairly sure it could be insufficient or incorrect. I don't want to send the ticket to the back of the queue by adding the full story, as (a) it might all be there, and (b) I was told to expect line tests to be completed by 14:20 today.
Could one of the team take a look and get back to me please  :).

I have been told today by Plusnet Support
"We have had no notification from our suppliers that G-INP is being rolled out to our customers...."
Are you sure you got it?

dnpark38, very many thanks for that, it seems to make a lot of sense. It will be interesting to see just how long this technology becomes widely available & also what additional equipment is required by the end user.

I'll leave it as it is though, as I have no idea what was reported LOL, and have this thread plus a (different topic but pointing here as well) IPv6 one.

@ Estragon - I take it your modem won't sync with the fibre DSLAM (light doesn't go green)?

I have sync to the exchange :). Two laptops, iPad and mobile all connect to either of my routers and both connect to the Openreach Huawei HG612.

What error are you seeing in your router log? Have you tried a PPP connection directly from the HG612?

No. I'd be very surprised if that would help, but I suppose it may be worth a try if Plusnet wish me to do that.

Thanks. I thought of that some time last night, and forgot all about asking Plusnet - dammit!. But surely first-line would/should have checked that yesterday?
How long before those die anyway - they don't last forever d they?
