No internet connection, strange dial tone

My fibre connection has been down since yesterday evening, about 8:30pm. The dial tone I hear when I pick up the phone alternates between 2 difference frequency sounds, perhaps once per second. The phone works though.
This is odd behaviour and the first significant issue I've had for years. I've raised a support ticket, but heard nothing yet. Does anyone know what this might be caused by, and whether there is any way for me to get online?

Edit: Apologies, I've just seen there is another forum for fibre broadband. I don't see a way to delete or move the post though.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

I don't know to be honest, we don't use the landline. I just checked for troubleshooting a thought it sounded odd so assumed it was a fault.
I've never heard the dial tone do it before, but the last time I used that phone may have been before I switched to PlusNet Residential (previously on Business).

Why not just dial 1571 and see if you a voicemail?

I had a voicemail, the dial tone has gone back to normal. Thanks for your help, just the broadband to sort now 🙂
