No Speed Change after Upgrading to Fibre Extra

Hi,

I recently upgraded my Fibre broadband package to Unlimited Fibre Extra on 24/03/2020, and I received an email on 25/03/2020 to say the order has been completed. However I am still experiencing the same speeds of 40 mbps down and 10 mbps up. I have tried restarting my router (not a plusnet router) multiple times, but to no avail.

There seem to be loads of us in the same boat. Unfortunately the confirmation email doesn't actually correlate with an increase in speed. I assume we won't get charged for the higher package until the speed increase is actually activated?

I don’t know if this is a definitive test but if you go to BTW Performance test site run the speed test and then choose the diagnostic test. If the upstream is showing 10Mbs you are probably still on standard fibre, if it’s 20Mbs you should be on Extra.

Thanks. I ran this test and it says max achievable upload is 10Mbps so I guess I'm still on standard.
