Hello; we've just got Plusnet fibre broadband and I am trying to connect my son's Nintendo 3DS XL to it.  It cannot see the network on an auto connect and the other way of doing it is via the individual settings so can anyone tell me

Re: Nintendo 2DS XL

It should use DHCP to Obtain an ip address in normal circumstances.
You could try....
192.168.1.150
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.254
212.159.6.9
212.159.6.10
But you may get a conflict if you use dymanic allocation ip addressing, IE "the normal way"
Is your wifi password 100% correct ?

Re: Nintendo 2DS XL

I've seen DSs that won't connect to a WiFi on channels 12,13 or 14 so check the router to see which channel it's working on.

Re: Nintendo 2DS XL

I've no idea about the new ones, but the older ones (original DS) only worked with WEP Wi-Fi networks and not WPA/WPA2 (the default for most routers nowadays) but I don't know if that would possibly stop it seeing the network rather than just causing authentication failure.
