New to fibre. Slow speed

I have been on fibre now for about two weeks but my speed has never got beyond 6.8Mbps when I was told my minimum speed should be 16Mbps. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.
What is the Plusnet Line Speed set to at https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
And what is the BTW IP Profile given at http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/PerformanceTesterWS/diagnostics.do , just enter your phone number and click "Run Diagnostics Check"
If the Plusnet Line Speed is well below the BTW IP Profile, then contact Plusnet by phone or Chat and ask them to correct your "Plusnet Line Speed"

Hi RussFRA, and welcome to the forum.
If that is the Plusnet Hub One you could also log into it and go to >Troubleshooting >Helpdesk and do a copy and paste of the stats there, BUT redact the serial number, username, SSIDs and MAC address.

Many thanks to both of you for your help. Both pages returned the same max speed as 7.1Mbps. I need to contact PN. Unfortunately I'm due in hospital for surgery tomorrow morning so my phone will have to wait for a day or two.

Well good luck with the surgery, and those speeds don't sound so good. Stats when you are next able to post may shed some light on things, there's loads of other things to check as well. Post back when you are fit and able.
