It can do. What happens is the DLM in the BT cabinet automatically ‘tunes’ your line to the maximum speed over time. If you change ISP Openreach reset the DLM so that it has to start this tuning all over again. If you’re patient it should get back to where it was. The time it takes seems to be a bit hit and miss.
