New install

just had the OR guy over, gave me the eci modem (yuck!).
Anyways my tn582n decided to play up and ask for the password every time i pressed ok .(5.2 fe firmware). and despite putting my username in (krusty) it decided the tr69 name was more suitable (sorry pn tech support).
I sorted that issue out but my download speeds are set at 3.8mbits (ip profiles?)
The OR guy said its syncing at 9.1mbits and bt dsl checker quoted
FTTC Range A (Clean) 25.6 18 5.1 3.3 -- Available
FTTC Range B (Impacted) 20.5 10.4 4.3 0.8 -- Available
You guys quoted 18.
Obviously the profile reset needs to be done. The 10 day training thing comes in i'm sure but as i can't see any line stats i can tell if things will improve so thats my major Q and concern atm

Re: New install

Good Morning Smiley
Glad to hear you have sorted the the router issues out!!
I have changed the profile for you as it was still on adsl!
We have to manually change the profile when a customer  upgrades to fibre and your upgrade question had only just come off hold
I apologise for the slight delay, you will see your speeds improve.
If there are any other questions I can answer , Fire away!
Thanks

Re: New install

Your line is currently syncing at:
Downstream Speed 9.5 Mbps
Upstream Speed 1.2 Mbps
These are obviously below the estimates we provided, so I'd suggest going through our faults checker at https://faults.plus.net so we can see what needs doing.

Re: New install

I'm hoping theres a fault Tongue because if it isn't about 30 properties are not gonna get great speeds Tongue (botched bduk and cab issue - due to the location of the cab).
I will raise a fault so we can check as to what is wrong (or not).
What are the line stats looking like(any room for improvement)?

"
1. Best Effort Test:
Download Speed : 9.64 Mbps
2. Upstream Test:
Upload Speed : 0.97 Mbps
Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information"
I'm getting this when i do a "bt performance" test,  at http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com

Re: New install

Don't worry about the throughput tests at this stage.
Faults will do a detailed test shortly and confirm and engineer is required and we'll sort it for you.

Re: New install

Thanks, I'm not worried that it will take a week or more to sort out but its the not knowing bit which is always frustrating. so thank you because if it isn't a fault, then its likely that most of our little village will get sub 15mbit fibre Tongue So I'm happy to be the guinea pig atm

Hi hes just been, basically no change to the speed .. its hovering around 7.8mbits Sad ..  there was some low insulation readings and the guy in the end changed the master socket.. The guy tested it down the road and that was reading 60/20. Im about 120m from the dp so its down to wiring.  Cry Cry Cry
Not sure what to do now Sad .
I have unlocked the spare hg612 so i will try and get some graphs done from the stats to see if theres anything we can do Sad
