New install - stuck at 16Mb - G.inp issue?

New FTTC install on Wednesday (Kelly Comms) and line speed has been at 16Mb from the start (according to wholesale speedtest & PN portal). Estimate was 25 to 35Mb.
Kelly guy said his gear didn't tell him sync speed when he did the install and he only had ECI modems!  (I've not had the faceplate off yet to check that he didn't botch it! - didn't want to drop sync and give DLM an excuses!)
Details:

  • <1km from cab

  • Huawei cab (don't know if G.inp enabled) - only installed about a month ago

  • Perfect internal wiring

  • ECI modem

  • Latency 25ms+

  • Previously getting ~7Mb solid ADSL connection on 3.5km plus to exchange

Bearing in mind that I was getting ~7Mb reliable sync on ADSL and over 3.5km to the exchange, there is no way I'm going to put up with 16Mb down and 3.5Mb up and will be cancelling the FTTC with PN unless they will sort it.
What do people reckon is the best way to go about this?  I've not raised any tickets yet - I can imagine the response will be "wait the 10 days initial settling period" but I can see no evidence of DLM trying to increase sync.
I'm not prepared to start swapping modems yet as this is a new install and falls so far below estimated/acceptable speed, surely it can't be ignored.
Any advice welcome! (particularly from PN guys)
Thanks

I've attached a clip of the results - do you think there's any hope?
What bothers me is the ADSL estimate is much lower than I was getting so it suggests cable is pretty decent.

That doesn't look good
Can you try the BT speedtest further diagnostics and report the downstream IP profile

Re: New install - stuck at 16Mb - G.inp issue?

Thanks for taking a look at this - ds profile is at 16.53Mb and hasn't budged during tests over last 4 days.
Latency over last 3 tests was 49ms, 29ms & 33ms

That really isn't good and unless a line fault or problem can be seen it may be difficult to get it sorted
You can ignore the 10 day period as it just doesn't apply to fibre
I suggest raising a fault at https://faults.plus.net
