New install Fibre - speed is slow?

have been monitoring speedtest online and speed is nowhere where it should be 😞

in addition i got following message when doing further diagnostics-

FAQ

No Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) services have been found at this address. Please check the postcode or use the Telephone Number or Service ID to conduct the test.
Click here to try again.

Please confirm if i actually have Fibre or if im still being given broadband - thanks

Re: New install Fibre - speed is slow?

Are you sure you are FTTP ?   and not FTTC

On the BT test page there is a link for both , most likely you clicked the wrong one , try again with the FTTC link

Asus ROG Hero Vii Z97 , Intel i5 4690k ,ROG Asus Strix 1070,
samsung 850evo 250gig , WD black 2 TB . Asus Phoebus sound ,

Re: New install Fibre - speed is slow?

Have you had an engineer visit to blow a fibre optic cable to your house and install a special box to terminate it or did you just plug the router supplied by Plusnet in to your existing phone line? The first is FTTP, the second is FTTC which is what 99%+ of Plusnet fibre users have.

Broadband: Andrews & Arnold Home::1 (FTTC 80/20)
Line rental: Pulse 8 Home Line Rental (£14.40/month)
Mobile: iD mobile (£4/month)
