New customer high erratic pings

Hello
I'm a new customer to plusnet on the fttc service. The speed is fine there is no problem there but the pings are high and erratic. I moved over from another fibre provider and my pings were fine (20ms interleaved 12ms without). So you can imagine my disappointment when I move to plusnet and I do a ping test on my p.c (CMD) and get a low of 46ms and a high of 140ms and that's pinging the plusnet portal. I have a wired connection and nothing has changed from my last service provider only changing to plusnet. Can someone please look into this for me please..
