New Unlimited fibre extra speed well below minimum

Hi

I’m wondering if anyone can help. It’s been 2 weeks since the WiFi was set up. An engineer had to come out as there was originally a fault with the line.

I spoke with one of them and he said he couldn’t fix it but could set it up so we would have the minimum broadband. He said someone from Openreach would have to come back and he would write on the notes exactly what was required as we had been messed around so much. No one came back to resolve the issue and by looking at the upload and download speeds it’s not been fixed.

When I’ve tested it the upload speed is 2.5 and download speed 7.5. I’ve also done everything it says on the site.

Estimated peak time speeds:
Download: 50 - 71Mb
Upload: 12 - 18 Mb
Current line speed: 8.5Mb
Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 44.5Mb

Please please can someone look in to this.

Hi Kelly,

I got connect on Thursday and suffering the same problem, guaranteed line speed 50mb and I am getting 30mb. I am waiting to see if this settles but not holding up much hope. I am inclined to leave if they do not meet the minimum guaranteed line speed.

I hope you resolve your issue with plusnet, you do have to get on at them though.
