Hi all, Sorry this is my first post here so be gentle with me.
I currently have Plus net Fibre with the standard Technicolor 582n and BT Openreach modem. I've just ordered a Asus RT-AC87U AC2400 Dual band Wireless router.
When it comes will it just be a case of swapping out the Technicolor 582n with the new Asus router and keeping the modem?
Will I have to add any plusnet setting to the router or is the router just the method of sending the signal? I know i'll have to re-connect my devices to the new wifi password or the new router but is there much else I'll have to add/update?
Thanks in advance sorry for the Noobie question.

Hi andrewalty1984, welcome to the forums.
Yes, you will need to connect your new router to the modem in place of the Technicolor, you will also need to enter your user details in the relevant section of the new router's admin interface - most modern routers are fairly easy, sorry I don't know the specifics for this model but I'm sure someone here will if you need help, your username will usually be in the form of username@plusdsl.net and you need to enter your password (the same username and password that you'd use to access the Plusnet Member Centre), you may find helpful information here: https://portal.plus.net/my.html?s=0&action=refresh_browser (you'll need to log in) - don't worry, most of these settings (except username and password are set automatically).
