It appears I have been on the "new network" since just after 14:00 on 29th November, based on SamKnows (SK) data and the change of gateway to psb-bng01 (Southbank PoP) at that time - I have a static IP. Since then, the SK graphs have gone from very stable to showing jumps/spikes in the main data.
Typical example: at 04:00 9/12/16 the SK upload speed registered a dip of 50%, latency went from about 11.22 to about 11.58 and packet loss from 0% to 1.3+0.6%.
I know the effects, apart from the speed negative spike, have little impact on my usage, but there was no session drop whereas prolonged changes were preceded by a session drop before the move to the current gateway and packet loss was 0% apart from an odd glitch - from 00:00 on 24 Nov to 14:00 on 29 Nov the were 4 one measurement "spikes" of 0.1% or less since then clusters have been getting wider and higher.
I don't recall seeing anything, but does this mean that the new network "seamlessly" reroutes traffic when needed, such a maintenance disruption?

The bng gateways in the Southbank and Colindale PoPs are accessible from both the old and new networks. Hence being on one of these cannot be extrapolated to mean "new network".

@spraxyt Thanks, ISTR seeing that before, now that its been mentioned.
This is the first time I've been on a "psb" gateway and, as the two graphs show, there has been a marked change in upload characteristics (the download are typical "bng" 2mbps variations but now with a few 95% drops added) and the packet loss has gone from a consistent 0% (with a few minor spikes) to much larger (relatively) quantities and much longer periods.
I have had 3x95% dips in download speed today with the packet loss reducing to 0% after the first at 04:00.
Naturally, my conclusion is that either the psb-bng gateways are overloaded/not functioning properly or the routing isn't as good as before.

One thing I forgot to mention was that I had a "complementary" uplink speed doubling for 14 days - 55/20 instead of 55/10 , the same as when I was moved from 40/20 to 55/10.

55/10 is actually a BT product whereas those with 20Mbps upload are 80/20 with software throttling. When 40/20 users were initially moved to 55/10 I think that was achieved by software throttling of both download and upload. I don't know whether any 55/10 users remain on throttled 80/20.
There could be transient changes when Plusnet carry out network maintenance.. I view this as separate from any old network/new network migrations.
