New Fibre, strange problem

Hi all,
I got my fibre installed yesterday and all is going well, except for 1 strange problem....all my devices think im in China!
According to google maps on my phone and my laptop I'm in China!
I've changed the DNS to googles DNS but i'm still getting the same problem.
Anyone know a way to get this fixed?

hmm if they think your in China that could be down to the IP address your router has been assigned it has been known for U.S IP address to crop up from time to time but this is the first for China.
Log into the router drop the connection there is usually a disconnect / connect button listed under broadband , wait 30 seconds or so then connect again,  you should be given a new IP address hopefully one that isn't linked to another country.
before changing the IP address it might be worth making a note of it and posting it here for someone on the CRT to be aware of so others don't get it.

You can find your public IP address and details of where it is registered at https://www.whatismyip.com

A geolocation check shows the IP to be a UK one

Strat it would be showing your IP address not the OPs they would have to follow that link and check

moderators can see the ip address used by the poster in his last post

Ye it's a uk IP, it showed my current location briefly earlier now it's back to china

Try going to google.com/ncr (No Country Redirect) and see if that makes any difference. There are reports across the Internet of this happening from time to time unfortunately.
