New Fibre Setup with Switch

Hello all, I recently (23rd Jan) had an upgrade from broadband (4.5Mb) to fibre (between 25 & 39Mb at the moment).
Previously, I had my WD MyCloud plugged into my Trendnet switch, and this plugged into my router. All cables are Cat5e.
Transferring data to the MyCloud, via Cat5 from my laptop would be pretty good (2gb in about 2 mins).
Now it seems to take anywhere between 5 mins to 20 mins!?
Am I doing something wrong with this new router/modem/switch setup?
Also, my android box upstairs seems to buffer a lot more than it did previously while streaming to it.  Thought with the faster downloads this would be smoother?

What speed is it showing when you try to transfer files now?
There can be quite a few different factors that would affect the speed.

Re: New Fibre Setup with Switch

Thanks for the reply.
I'm just transferring a 1.8Gb file and it quoted 5 mins, then changed to 17 mins, then back to 2 mins.
Just seems very erratic....unlike transferring before with the old Thomson router.
Looking at the speed, it starts off at 1.6 Mb a second then slowly keeps falling, currently 846 Kb a second.............
