New Fibre Installed - Up Faster, Down Same!

Hi
So very excited to join the fibre group!
Had my Fibre installation this morning. All went well according to the BT technician. Just ran a speed check and it seems that my upload has shot up from ~1MB/Sec to 16MB/Sec, but strangely my download speed still seems the same as it was under my previous broadband package (~14MB/Sec).
Is this a normal thing to see, I've looked trough the FAQs and it sounds like there will be some settling that will occur, but I would have expected the up and down to transition at the same time?
Could a helpful person please advise?
