New Fibre Install - how long to wait for speeds to settle?

Hi,
Got new fibre install today... was on BT standard broadband at approx 3.5 download - new fibre install is reading approx 5.1 through speedtest.net.
Is this figure likely to go up over the next few days, or should I contact support now?  The guides say leave for a few days to settle down - but in my previous experience with other suppliers , they normally start at a high speed and step down on failures?
Any help appreciated!! 🙂
Pete

Have you checked the BT IP profile and the Plusnet Current Line Speed

Did the engineer fit a new faceplate to your Master socket ? if he didn't , have you still got all phones connected via filters ?

All phones still connected via Filters - don't know about the master socket - it's in another house. The engineer spent about 20 minutes there doing something and advised me I still needed microfilters on all sockets.
Raising fault now from previously linked response.

It's going to need a engineers visit to investigate further.
If you can let me know when your available I'll get it booked in.

That doesn't sound good!. Ideally the modem should be connected as close to the master socket as possible. Sounds like the internal wiring might need checking out, the engineer really should have tested where the modem was installed, sounds like he tested at the master socket!
