I switched from Sky standard to Plusnet fiber this week.
The connection has dropped a few times every day. I hardly use a laptop. Most of my connection is via the phone or Sky box.
There is no pattern - no specific times or type of connection. It's random.
I get an orange light with a red b. I just reconnect and it's fine. Annoying though.
Is this what I should expect from Plusnet for the next year?
P.s. tried resetting the router - it's got less frequent (coincidence?)
Thanks for any help.

Welcome back to the Forum @TinaS and thank you for starting your own thread.
Just to be clear: is it the broadband light that is flashing or the wireless light? I took it that it was the broadband connection that is dropping, rather than your wifi?
If so, that would suggest that you need to run through the checks at https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/connection-troubleshooting/ and report a fault at https://www.plus.net/apps/kbdfaults It takes a bit of your time and costs you nothing, but makes Plusnet aware of your issue, they have to look at it, and gets the issue into the queue for action. The idea of connecting to the master socket is to remove any effects of internal wiring problems; you would need to connect the laptop to the hub with a wired connection to remove any wifi effects.
I don't know the Sky box, and this will probably have no effect on your problem as it is about a possible wifi issue. There have been reports that some kit can get confused by the hub broadcasting wifi on 2 frequencies and switching from one to the other, or even dropping the connection. It might be worth separating the two signals. @bill888 has posted how to do that at https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Devices-stop-working-on-5-GHz-connection-Wifi-drops/m-p/1395...
