Hi all,
I had the Openreach engineer in today installing our 75 Mbps fibre. We tested the internet speed both wireless and wired and got 5.8 Mbps download and 18.5 Mbps upload. Using his diagnostics he tested the loop (house to cab) and got the full 75 Mbps down and 19.5 Mbps up. He suggested plus.net may need to nudge a profile?
Makes sense to me as I think I have had my profile set before for : http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,115231.msg993307.html#msg993307
Any help gratefully received.

the engineer is indeed correct it seems the plusnet side of things is still set on the ADSL setting, it's after office hours so someone on the DCT might not get to do anything until the morning, you can always call support and get them to do it if your prepared to wait for someone to pick up.

Done!
You might need to log in to your router and disconnect/reconnect once.

I spoke too soon, it has slipped back to 5.8 Mbps again. Tested both wireless and wired. Help!

Hi again,
There's nothing on our side that I can see causing this. If the problem is still continuing I'd suggest going through the faults checker here: https://faults.plus.net
