New FTTC Cabinet installed - how soon to order?

Our local exchange has been Fibre enabled for a couple of years now and we have just had our local FTTC cabinet installed in our street at the start of this week. How soon roughly after installation does a cabinet go live and will Plus.net be in sync with the likes of BT Wholesale adsl checker for order availability? I just want to ensure I am checking in the right places so I can order as soon as available.

As soon as the BT DSL checker shows it you'll be able to order it with us.

Thanks. Any idea of the turn around from installation to go live or does that vary greatly?

It all depends on Openreach.
Usually the cabinet getting fitted is one of the earliest steps.
Next is normally power and the fibre itself being routed to the cabinet which can take a while.
Best bet is to check weekly.

In my village the gap was about 3 months. The final act is when they are laying the fibre cable & connecting it to the cab. Normally you will be within a couple of weeks of being ready at that stage.
