Netgear Router won't work on Church network, but does at home

Okay.
Switched my church to Plusnet Fibre (residential) from BT Fibre (business) on 29th October.
Plusnet router works fine.
Netgear Router purchased, but it refuses to connect with username and password.

Before sending it back, tried on my home network plusnet fibre (residential) and it connected perfectly with the church username and password.

Each time I tested with same ethernet cable, same laptop connected.

Any explanations ? Anything I should try?

Hi there.

Sorry for the delayed response and that you're experiencing troubles with your router.

This seems like an odd issue, could you PM me your church username to look into further?

Re: Netgear Router won't work on Church network, but does at home

Thanks for the reply.
I had the chance to go to church, and after an hours wait, spoke to a plusnet person, who discussed with me.

There was no plusnet fault. There is no Netgear kit fault.
It was down to my misunderstanding of the church connectivity set up which seemed different to my own, and I hopefully have a solution which I can try when a cable arrives
