Netflix 4K ports

Hi, apologies if this has been posted before, I'm new to the Forum and 4K!

I will make matters more difficult by admitting that I'm a techno idiot so please feel free to talk down to me 😀

I'm connected to a Sony 4K tv via wireless at 32 Mb fibre. Amazon Prime, YouTube 4K and Sony 4K all work fine. Netflix freezes and buffers on 4K. I've now spent 3 hours into Netflix who say it's an ISP fix and Plusnet who say that I need to configure ports but they don't support doing that in the phone and directed me here ....Help please.

Re: Netflix 4K ports

One question to which we need the answer - which router are you using

There is another possibility - I don't know about Amazon Prime - but Netfix (according to my Samknows Tests uses 15.6Mb/s) may be trying to use a greater bandwidth than is available when connected via wireless

Re: Netflix 4K ports

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am using a Plusnet Hub 1 on a fibre to cabinet basis. Wifi showing about 32mb

Plusnet tech won't offer any help at all. Netflix ditto.

Re: Netflix 4K ports

Do you know the upstream bandwidth used?

Can't imagine there being much upstream spare on Plusnets 40/2 package.
