Multiple drops, line noise, engineer visit (25 July)

From my router logs, I averaged 5 drops per month (81) from 8 Feb 2017 to 8 Jul 2018; from there to 23 Jul there have been 101 drops and intermittent noise on the line. A recent (Sunday) quiet line test, using the test socket, resulted in the recorded announcement being obscured by a longish burst of noise. Sync dropped from 76999/19999 to 34999/11999 over the 15 days.

So, some noise still present on 23rd, (phone) engineer booked and came 25th - no line noise, no faults and, of course, no line drops since booking!

Had a DLM reset and sync back to 76626/19999, BT profile 72.97, Plusnet 72.6 - looks good.

Today, however, a BTW speed test and SamKnows report speeds of 38.32/13.65 and 38/9.8; latency having jumped from around 10 to 18.2mS - not that I consider that a problem.

This looks, to me, to be a "rate limited" 40/10 supply on an 80/20 connection to the cabinet - I was originally on a 40/20 supply which was replaced with a 55/10 when 40/10 was introduced.

Can someone confirm/refute this view?

Thanks

Phil

Re: Multiple drops, line noise, engineer visit (25 July)

Thought I'd update you here that your service is now provisioned on 55/10 which matches the speed profile on your account and your routers sync rate.
