Multiple Gateway / Web Mail Issue

Mmm, I wasn't really sure where to put this post, but as it is related to my fibre connection’s end point I thought I would post here.

So OK, I have set my router to send the traffic from my Mac out on my second line. This line was using 195.166.130.253 as its gateway (psb-bng02) and while other (unrelated) changes were made this changed to 192.166.130.253 (pcn-bng03). But while using either of these gateways I cannot connect get to Webmail! However as soon as I change it back to using the first line a.k.a. (gw 195.166.130.252) it connects instantly to Webmail.

So this suggests to me that there may be a routing issue regarding these PoP, can anyone confirm, deny or explain this please?

Are you using either of these gateways and can you reach web mail at all?

Re: Multiple Gateway / Web Mail Issue

Exactly my point @rongtw, this is the gateway my first line is using and I can connect to webmail without issue. But if I use any of the two mentioned above it's a non starter!

Quite, quite odd.

Re: Multiple Gateway / Web Mail Issue

Hi @Anonymous,

Are you able to test this again please on psb-bng02, or any pcn-bng.  If you are still unable to connect to webmail via those, could you also possibly post a tracert to webmail.plus.net from your connection.

Re: Multiple Gateway / Web Mail Issue

Thanks for the reply @scrookes, I've changed the router setting to the second interface which is using pcn-bng03 for its gateway and I get no response from webmail. This is the output from traceroute before I gave up.

Thanks @Anonymous,

I'm looking into this for you.  Appreciate you sending the tracert.  Is this also affecting portal.plus.net too do you know?

@scrookes, yes it does and to community.plus.net as well! I had to reroute to make this post.
