Multiple Disconnections

Hi
Are you able to check my connection over the paste few days please as my connection has been dropping.  I want to check if its my router or if you see on the graph that the modem has been disconnecting.
Regards

Re: Multiple Disconnections

I'm assuming the visual RADIUS log which PN CRT have access too, which will show an PPP drops.
I don't think PN (or anyone not using an unlocked / their own VDSL modem) can see link uptime stats for FTTC.

Look at all the pretty graphs! (now with uptime logging!)

Re: Multiple Disconnections

Hi
Sorry just picking this back up.  What is Plusnet's analysis of that graph?  Looks like quite a few disconnections?
It does seem to of been ok since Friday 16th to be honest, can you confirm?

Re: Multiple Disconnections

My analysis is that the disconnections are very regular, so regular it looks like an idle timeout or similar. The majority are 29-31 minute long connections.
Since the evening of the 15th, the disconnections have stopped. Does your router have an idle timeout setting in it?

Re: Multiple Disconnections

Thanks, I thought it might be a too easy to find a timeout in there!
At the moment there's not much to go on as the line has stabilised. Probably worth just monitoring to make sure they don't come back, if they do we can dig further into a potential fault.
