Much lower download speed following 'upgrade' to 55/10

Hi

Before 'upgrade' was regularly getting 38/19.

Now I'm on 55/10, regularly getting less than 20 download.

When first 'upgraded' speed was fine so will someone please let me know if this temporary or is there a network problem.

Thanks for your help.

Checked speed again today and appear to be 'capped' at 20 download.

Can someone at Plusnet please look into this for me.

Thanks for your help.

The package is called 55/10 for a reason. The download should be capped at 10Mb/s. If you're seeing anything higher than that it's a fault. You should probably keep quiet about it for now but eventually PN are going to notice Wink

@Andrue

You are just so wrong Andrue.

The 10 is for UPSTREAM and the 55 is for DOWNSTREAM so getting just 20Mbps down is not good. @SoFarSoGood should still be able to get 38Mbps down, not less than 20!

Re: Much lower download speed following 'upgrade' to 55/10

I can't see anything that should be capping you as low as 20Mbps down, however I've pumped the profile on our side up from 40 to 55 as that was a little low.

Could you try a disconnect and reconnect and see if that's any higher now please.

Fix

Hi HarryB

Thanks, now back to normal (as it was when I was first 'upgraded') at around 51/9.

Any idea why it 'slipped down' from 55 to 40?

Many thanks for your help.

Re: Much lower download speed following 'upgrade' to 55/10

Maybe that wasn't actually affecting you, as it had never actually been at 55.

It also looks like your connection is still showing ongoing for 13 days, so the change I made earlier would have had no affect at this point.

Hi HarryB

I Tried before rebooting and now rebooted and tried again and same as before rebooting i.e  around 51/9.

Whatever you did has worked so far.

Thanks again for your help.

Indeed, yes. For some reason I thought you were talking about the upstream. I should have realised when it didn't seem to make sense.

Sorry.
