Since last Thursday,my broadband usage has indicated zero,anyone got an idea why this should be? I like to check it,just in case my router has been hacked,which doesn't appear to be the case.Trying for an explanation here,rather than have to wait on line.

I have exactly the same problem with zero usage since 24 Nov. It seems to happen quite regularly and I have given up doing anything about it. It always seems to correct itself at some point.
