When you subscribe to plusnet fibre do the open reach engineers fit a HG612  modem, so I could use my billion 7800n or 7800dxl router or would I have to buy  a new all in one

The openreach modem that they install is pot luck depending on what the engineer has in their van at the time, it could be the HG612 or it could be a ECI model you wont know until they show up.

If you'd prefer a  HG612 we can cancel your order, resubmit it as self-install and ship you one of those.
Otherwise feel free to replace what the engineer installs with your own VDSL modem router.
