Mac keeps dropping WIFI connection

Hi All
My Mac running OS X 10.10.1 keeps dropping the WifI connection to my Plusnet router. The router/openreach modem is plugged into our master socket.
It only happens on my Mac as I have a windows laptop (from work) which continues to hold the connection when the Mac drops. They're right next to each other.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Mac keeps dropping WIFI connection

Can you see any errors when it drops in the Console?

Re: Mac keeps dropping WIFI connection

upgrade to 10.10.2 and see if that helps, it has Wi-Fi fixes in it.

Re: Mac keeps dropping WIFI connection

Have a run through this site http://osxdaily.com/2014/11/19/os-x-10-10-1-wi-fi-connection-issue-troubleshooting/
You have also got a good range of tools on a mac, use "Wireless Diagnostics" by pressing alt + clicking the wifi icon, you will see Wireless Diagnostics.
Edit:gramar.

Re: Mac keeps dropping WIFI connection

ran the diagnostic things by holding alt and clicking the wifi icon and it did pick up a connection loss. However, the report won't open as it doesn't know what programme to open with. Not very helpful.
So also after updated OS X it still drops.
Puzzled.
