OK - stable for 100 days apart from 2 resyncs on Mon 4th.
Any Idea what else may have caused loss of speed - does crosstalk reduce speed without resyncs?

A 10Mbit drop (and presumably an increase in ping latency, if you're monitoring?) is often blamed on G.INP being enabled when the consumer's modem can't use it.

Yes - it is an ECI modem
Yes, ping has increased.
I've no idea if the cabinet is Huawei - it was installed last summer if that makes a difference. How can I find out if G.INP has been enabled?
WTH are openreach doing supplying modems which are incompatible with their cabinets - Sigh.
What is the next step?
EDIT:
I've raised a ticket - but 37 hour response time??? Plusnet you are getting worse.

The last bit is the teller. It's also a Huawei cabinet that you're routed to.

PS - why is that test result different from the one you posted above?
Thanks.

At any given moment in the universe many things happen. Coincidence is a matter of how close these events are in space, time and relationship.
Opinions expressed in forum posts are those of the poster, others may have different views.

Because I stole it from another thread to provide an example
@w23 - There's a chance that it could be, but I'm unable to find a way of confirming that. At the moment, Openreach are trialling a way to have the full benefits of G.INP without the side effects some customers have seen. However in this case the test results are showing as interleaving as being on where other examples showed no interleaving at all.

If I lose speed due to unavoidable technical issues (such as crosstalk for example) then fair enough.
If on the other hand it is a result of my ISP and/or their suppliers providing me with kit incompatible with the service provided from the cabinet - then I expect it to be fixed.
How about getting a Huwaei modem sent out?

I got the standard - please carry out all these tests cut and paste - completely ignoring the questions about G.INP
What I am really looking for is some proactive checking - has G.INP been enabled on my cabinet. Surely it must be possible to find this out. There is no point going through the normal fault tests, and an engineer visit just to find out it is a known modem incompatibility.
Alternatively - I am prepared to take the risk on my own - obtain a Huawei modem from Ebay, see if that fixes it. IF plusnet are prepared to part refund me for the cost with a month free, in the event that this is a fix (and hence caused by an incompatibility in supplied equipment)
How about it plusnet?

I'd recommend waiting for this to be carried out before you go down the buying another modem router as the trial showed everybody saw things go back to normal.

Will I need to do anything (eg restart modem) after fix applied?
If so - how will I know when to do it.
Thanks for update.
