i live in a rural area just about 1 mile from the local village.
2 new cabinets been installed in the village cabinet 2 and 3.
A friend has been told by Sky that fibre will be available in 2 weeks, superfast cymru says exchange enabled at end of march.
I am connected to cabinet 1...no sign of a new cabinet being erected and no planning permission sought.
Does this mean that our little community may miss out on fttc ?
All help gratefully recieved
Regards
Leighton

Being taunted by my friends on Cabinet 3 that they are all ordering fibre and my bloody cabinet hasn't been upgraded...
Seems the bottom end of our village is live on Cabinet 3. My dad who lives centrally in the villageon cabinet 2 isn't live.
And my cabinet 1 is still the old mouldy one with drug references on...hasn't got a new one set up yet...
Bugger

Is there any way of finding out when a new cabinet is being erected ? Or when a cabinet is due to be enabled

Here is a link to the Openreach website to see where and when fibre will be available at your cabinet.

That site is totally and utterly useless for checking on future plans. For all the cabinets on our exchange it stayed at Exploring Solutions until the day they all went live.
The best place to find out when work is scheduled is to look on http://roadworks.org. Every stage of the installation appeared on there (including extra work to dig up and clear a blocked duct).
