Location Issues

Looking for some help on something that drives me nuts... we often get picked up as being in the USA. Not just on web searches but for instance following a link to see a product on Amazon we will get sent to .com version and on entering the site will then get presented with a shall we redirect you to U.K Site notice.  When using maps the search facility narrows down in the states until you say uk , that sort of thing

When looking a fing today an external IP address was listed but the hosting box was populated by 34.58.143.150 saying BT Americas.  Can anyone throw any light on this?

Thanks that’s a mighty long link to wade through. As it was a while back I’m assuming I can’t add to the end of it, please give some pointers to a newbie
