Line speed

I've recently moved so the 'current line speed' info on my portal is still showing the rate for my old line, but I wonder if there's any way of finding out if my IP profile has been set correctly? According to BT Wholesale it's been set at 40.92 Mbps, and I think (although I might be misremembering!) the original estimates were that it nearer to 50 Mbps might be possible..

Hi there,

 

The original downstream estimate was 49mbps. The current like rate is set at 42.2mpbs.

 

I've run some fault checks to be on the safe side but we're not seeing any issues.

Thank you! So is it just the case that the original estimate was 'best case', and this is about right?

That's a good way to look at it yes. Also over time speeds do drop by a few mbps as more customers get fibre services activated on the same cabinet.
