Line Speed Stuck

I recently changed to the HG612 modem and the line is now syncing at 78102 but I am only getting around 70mb (and line profile at 71.82). This seems to be lower than 96% of the sync speed. Can this be updated/fixed?

Re: Line Speed Stuck

The Openreach DLM system has 2 levels of G.inp  or retransmission, low and high. High ReTx has a profile of around 92% of the sync speed which seems to tally with your figures. How the DLM decides what level to apply is not really known, but probably related to stability and error levels. Don't think you can do much about it unfortunately.Sad

Re: Line Speed Stuck

Thought that might be the case, I think the Hub One was acting up and might have caused it. The HG612 seems to be more stable so far.

Maybe an admin can do a line check and check for retransmission. Hopefully if my line stays low on errors it will switch back to low.

Re: Line Speed Stuck

Hi there.

For the reasons that @RealAleMadrid has advised of your IP profile is correct for the sync rate.

Our tests are showing retransmission to be set to low:

Profile Name 0.128M-80M Downstream 3dB, Retransmission Low - 0.128M-20M Upstream, Retransmission Low

We're also detecting a potential line fault which might be having an impact on your connection, so I've raised this with Openreach now and I'll update your account with more info shortly.

Hope this helps.
