Lenght of ethernet cable for a router

I need to move my PN router away from the BT modem by about 12 meters but the cable with the RED ends is far to short.

What type of ethernet cabe is it? is it a Patch cable or a Crossover cable, Can anyone advise me please.

Hi there

I believe you would use a patch cable, as a crossover would be used to connect multiple computers together. Though I'm sure one of the community will be able to confirm this.

It is just a standard Ethernet cable as @Gandalf says, so @OldFrank you would look get something like this.

Re: Lenght of ethernet cable for a router

Hello Mook.

Got one of those longer cable and moved my PN router to a more open spot in the house, now getting near Max speed possible on the WiFi connection. Thanks for the info!!
