Re: Why I have left Plusnet

Sure.

But you may be making uneducated assumptions that the issue lies with plusnet when it may well not.

I mean...
I can be streaming video on the TV while gaming with no noticeable impact on lag or latency.

Re: Why I have left Plusnet

How experienced and educated must one need to be?  I've worked 1st and 2nd line as a NOC engineer for a few MSP, working with BT, and virgin for business.. but never PN. Do PN do business broadband?

PN do business broadband - but it will cost you.

I hope you are not using wireless or power plugs - I use a wired ethernet connection.

Looking back to December 2017 you'd stated you were leaving plusnet then...
I guess we'll see you in another year? :3

NBK, do you work for PN? I wish I had left 2017, even with the added cost!

Re: Why I have left Plusnet

work for a yorkshire business?!

not in a million years! it was hard enough signing up with the yorkshire lot! :3

But like I said, I've had none of the issues you've described, my ping is half yours, your issues may be related to the area you're in, the game servers you're playing on etc.

Re: Why I have left Plusnet

@royleestoves What's your connection (sync) speed? (Not your download speed, you'll need to look at your router stats).

Those ping times to me look fairly typical for ADSL.

PN Gateways are/were in London - I've not been keeping up with all this lately Sad

Re: Why I have left Plusnet

It's never been so bad. Son is wired to the router watching Netflix, and I'm trying to play pubg 176% packet loss. Pubg demands little bandwidth!
