Re: Latency has gone from 20ms to 35ms>

Thanks a lot for providing the details, something quite odd is going on, in that I've been unable to get into your router. I've just sent out a new Plusnet Hub One, waiving all P&P fees, to see if this helps with your connection. I've also sent out a returns bag if you wouldn't mind popping the previous router in the post? Smiley

Re: Latency has gone from 20ms to 35ms>

@adam945 hi I have received my new router today. The speeds have gone back to where they should be averaging around 34Mbps download and 6Mbps upload. My ping is still high at 32ms is there away to reset the dlm as I’m concerned the DSLAM may lock me on high interleaved?
As my connection hasn’t been stable for awhile?

Thanks

Re: Latency has gone from 20ms to 35ms>

Good morning @brownyy

Thanks a lot for reaching out, glad to hear that your speeds are back to where they should be.

To be honest, a high ping can be caused by a wide range of issues, including the servers being used by external institutions. Sometimes though, a high ping can be associated with underlying line issues, however I've run ran a KBD and RRT on the line, which is not showing any issues whatsoever.

Have you done any internal troubleshooting at all? You can find further steps to take here.

Re: Latency has gone from 20ms to 35ms>

@adam945 i have done a trace route and everything internally was 1ms as soon as it leaves it’s 30+.
What does downstream assessment low mean?

Also I’ve been charged postage and packaging 🥲

Re: Latency has gone from 20ms to 35ms>

The Downstream Assessment relates to the current sync speed, in relation to the speeds that can actually be achieved on the line itself, and previous sync speeds. There's no doubt that the sync speed has decreased very slightly lately, however there are no underlying faults, and the sync speed on your line is still within estimates (37Mbps) - so we wouldn't raise a fault in this scenario.
