Is there still a best time to reboot a router?

When ADSL was a big thing, rebooting early in the morning would sometimes enable a faster sync. Is that still a thing with FTTC? Originally my sync was 57meg and I lost 4 meg a month or so ago during a re- sync. I thought I would get most of it back at the next one. However, that was around 6.30am today and I have lost another 6 meg. I expect it was more to do with the weather conditions. I've never bothered too much about speeds before, but now there is more going on and am wondering the best time of day to try and get it up (oo'er misses!!).

I know nothing about this, so take what I say with a massive pinch of salt.

I thought manually rebooting is a bad idea as it could indicate your line is unstable (it's not cos you are doing it), which can result in your line being put on a lower profile?

I believe that was the case with ADSL, no idea about FTTC.
