Is there any reason my ISP all of sudden shows as being BT on Speedtests?

I've had my new Fibre Broadband with plusnet and have been getting 60-66Mbps down and 18Mbps up since connection a few weeks ago on 20th Nov. A couple of times the down speed has dropped to about half, but a quick restart of the router makes it reconnect at expected 60+ Mbps. Oddly, since 6th December when checking my speed it Shows my ISP as BT, up until this point it showed correctly as Plusnet.

What's probably happened is that when your router resynchronised it picked up a different IP address to one that has been transferred from BT to Plusnet.

The other possible explanation is that you use powerline units and have connected to a neighbours powerline network. This can and does happen if the units use the same default password. If you use these devices then switch them off and see what you get with a direct connection.

Thanks, it's not through powerline adapters and yeah it shows a different IP address under the speedtests. I guess it's nothing to worry about right?
