Internitent dropouts

We've been F9 customers over 20 years - from before PlusNet acquired them.  We're on Unlimited Broadband, and just recently started getting dropouts.  I'm working from home and need the bb stable.  I have a vpn into work that has started dropping regularly, and need to work on RDP sessions across servers internationally from the EU and US.  A few months ago I was almost 100% vpn connection with no issues working 12-14 hour days on 2 sites in Spain with good speed for 3 weeks continuous.  Interestingly I'm on a Teams call now and it seems other PlusNet users are having the same issues.

Is it possible to get a physical line check?   On the BT speed check as others have mentioned it shows 14MB but fast.com and others show 52Mbs,  We've just had the CItyFibre guys digging our road up (and lets not go there - never seen such a bunch of cowboys!!) and now have Vodafone up to 900Mbs out front.  If this can't be stabilised I may consider switching - there's not much price difference.

Re: Internitent dropouts

Was in a meeting - ran out of edit time.   The guys doing the works outside came back to our house and a few others 3 times to fix something with the feed socket.  Don't know if they've damaged something - they weren't too careful.  But I can't work like this.  I have Wireshark running on my laptop monitoring the vpn and rdp but shows nothing except a drop.  Non-vpn traffic seems fine.  Don't know if its a contention issue but would be interested to know.

Re: Internitent dropouts

Hi @fj1200,

I'm really sorry to hear that you're experiencing these issues. Having tested your line today the connection itself appears to be fine from what we can see, so I believe this may be more of a Wi-Fi signal issue. First and foremost I'd recommend connecting via an Ethernet cable where possible and for help improving the Wi-Fi connections I would refer you to this guide.
