Hi Joe,

As per your advise I have tested the connection using a BTHub 6 router/modem,

I guess the attached pictured are self explanatory as they are screenshots of my laptop

Hi Jo,

 

I have run several tests around 15:00 hours today with very similar results 

Nowhere near 60Mbps i should get

As you can imagine my frustration with the speed and lags on games while on wireless.

I do expect a normal drop in connectivity speed but on wireless I can't even get close to 30Mbps

Also when I am trying the next step it will come up with the same error

So this is why I don't understand what is going on

As I did mentioned before since I started using the BT HUB 6 I don't get any longer disconnected and the speed some how has improved. Yet not what I use to get before.

As this is my 3rd router I know everything is how should be in my house.

Also today at the time I tested there was nobody in the house playing any games so I would expect at least 50Mbps with the network cable

Thanks for getting back to us with your results, we can see that something isn't right there as the speed you are seeing is below your estimates. I have now raised this to our supplier, who are currently investigating the issue at their side.

l use Sky for two reasons, the first being they are my current ISP, lm assuming your contemplating Fibre? they have generally been pretty solid for me with no speed loss, tho are a little pricey, that said after your contract finishes talking to the retentions department can get you some very reasonable deals.

Plusnet if memory serves is a BT owned ISP.

I also liked the idea in the essay. Even found a site for this. Thank you.
