Internet down

Hello.

Odd request. As I haven't got time to phone currently?
My roomates have told me that the
Internet been down most of the day.
I'm at work so I can't attempt to fix it myself and I'm being bothered every 20m with them moaning lol.
Can I ask if there is Internet trouble in the area or is it just us?
Been told there is a dial tone and all basic troubleshooting has been done.
Still down apparently.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

try raising a fault on https://faults.plus.net - that will run basic checks if you haven't got time to sit on the phone.

Just had a random thought this morning and 100% a scam but it cannot be an coincidence.
That about 24-48 hrs before the Internet went down we got a phoney call from 'BT' saying we would be disconnected in 24-48 hrs due to illegal transactions on the account or something like that.
Any advisement on that?
I do wonder if our line has been ddosd by whoever it was and if there was anyway of finding out if this is the case.

That's an absolute scam, any action on your account would be by Plusnet for a start.
You would also have lots of letters about debt collection and your net would still work, albeit redirected to a payment page.

Oh yeah 100% a scam. Just weird the timings matched up almost perfectly with it.
I will await the outcome of the tests on the line later on.
