Internet connection down past 5 hours!

No connection, reset modem. Cannot configure/detect connection. Called helpline who confirmed a MSO (major systems outage) in my area (rg8 0). Plusnet website says no problems reported!

@TomB1066 Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately, Plusnets system only recognises MSO's which cover Exchange areas - like in your case - Nottingham as a whole. This site:https://status.zen.co.uk/broadband/ is a little more informative.

Does the BT status checker provide any more details on the MSO fault?

@TomB1066 If BT aren't, my link won't - it is a direct link. Makes the original claim a little suspicious, especially given the length of your disconnection.

Yes it is odd. Others on my village Facebook now posting similar. Have green light on modem but no connection.

In which case, it is probably a 'mini-MSO' - although the BT site usually report those too, but at least you know it isn't just you.

I've ran a test on the line this morning and can see that your connection is now back up and running, and appears to be working normally.
