So after getting my last issues sorted out regarding the upload speed being capped after my contract was renewed I am now faced with more issues. My download speed has been steadily dropping, it was usually around 22 - 20 mb/s and has sinced dropped down to 18mb/s and now 14 mb/s. I have run all the fault checkers with BT fault checker. The results from this will vary. sometime i will get 18mb/s download but a really high ping of 40-50ms where as I usually get 10-18ms. Other times it will show a reduced download speed. I am hardwired in to the router with no other devices connected when running these tests. I am plugged in to the master telephone socket. We did notice a slight crackle on some of our calls but this hasn't happened in the last month (as far as I am aware) Why am I once again facing issues with internet speed? EDIT: After having a look again at the full BT diagnostic checker it tells me my profile is 20/10 I thought the standard profile was 40/xx? Could this be part of the reason my speeds are / have dropped?
