Hi All
Just wondering if anyone can give me reasons why I am getting increased latency on my fibre connection in the evenings?
I've attached a Thinkbroadband quality monitor graph to show the issue I am having.
Any thoughts, views or opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

I think I might have cured it. I changed my routers Plusnet DNS server addresses to Google's a couple days ago and I've not had a repeat of the chart above since.
Out of interest, why do you ask?

So I can try to establish why it's happening. The graph represents the response time from continuous ICMP echo requests targeted at your router. Nowhere are the DNS resolvers you're using involved in this transaction so it's odd that changing them would have done anything

I've got a feeling that this latency / packet loss happens more during the week, and tends to ease off a weekends. Don't know if that info helps!
