IP profile wrong - Static IP

Hi 

My download speed reduced a few weeks back , previously was getting >70Mb now I'm consistently getting 40-41mb down. I have noticed that my IP profile is set to 45Mb can this be corrected please. Note the attachment 

I do also have a static IP if that's relevant.

The IP profile being low along with the profile on your account is likely a symptom of a slow sync speed. Do you have a Hub One? If you do, login at 192.168.1.254 and go to the Troubleshooting > Helpdesk tab and check what the Data Rate is showing as.

If the data rate is slow then that’s where the problem lies as that’s your sync speed. I’d make sure your router’s in the master socket with no extension cabling and raise a fault online at faults.plus.net

Hi 

I did initially raise this issue via the call centre on the 14th May but after a number of follow-up calls i've made since then looking for updates i've still not had a reply to my query from Faults team. 

 

I don't typically use the Plusnet hub but for the sake of avoiding any confusion i've plugged in and have done as stated ,with a screenshot attached showing Date Rate of 42Mb.

Thanks a lot for your response, and for sharing the relevant information with us. The tests that I've run on my end this afternoon do appear to correlate with the images you've shared. The line is in sync, however the current current sync rate appears to be 48Mbps.

 

I've sent you an email with some steps you can take to troubleshoot your connection. If these do not help, please let us know and we'll be happy to raise this with our suppliers for further investigation. Your speed profile on our end is 78000, however the banding on the line at the moment is giving you a maximum speed of 49Mbps.

Thank you for your response. I've run further tests on the line this morning and the issues regarding the banding on the line appear to now be resolved. Our tests indicate that the speed on the line has now increased, and is now well within the estimated speeds that you were quoted on your contract.
