IP profile degrading and disconnections

Over the past weeks, I monitored my ip profile and it is degrading. Besides that, especially in the last few days, I experienced many disconnections. Is there possibly any fault on my line?

Here is the history of my tests on btwholesale:

18-Apr-2018 "For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-61.69 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 61.69 Mbps"

26-Apr-2018 " For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-55.52 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 55.52 Mbps"

09-Jun-2018 " For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-58.01 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 58.01 Mbps"

12-Jun-2018 " For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-55.52 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 55.52 Mbps"

11-Jul-2018 "For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-45.4 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 45.4 Mbps"

31-Jul-2018 "For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-45.4 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 45.4 Mbps"

Re: IP profile degrading and disconnections

Sorry to hear this.

Our tests are showing a external fault on the line so we've raised that to our suppliers so they can investigate further.

We'll update you when we know more

Re: IP profile degrading and disconnections

The Openreach engineer visited today, my wife was in. Apparently, after he has done his job, he left saying everything is now ok.

Once I got back home, check the router diagnostic I see indeed

15:37:19, 02 Aug.

( 129.480000) PPPoE is up - Down Rate=65789Kbps, Up Rate=19999Kbps; SNR Margin Down=6.0dB, Up=15.4dB

However, speedtests (from ethernet) show that download speed is barely 8Mbit/s

Re: IP profile degrading and disconnections

https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed also shows

Estimated line speed:There's no speed estimate currently held on your account.

Current line speed:9.2 Mb

Maybe it's just a matter of attending some time, but I report it just in case...

Re: IP profile degrading and disconnections

Fix

Following the engineer fixing the fault and improving your sync speeds I've bumped up the speed profile on your account to the maximum it can go.

If you can reboot your router you should see a much higher speed when it reconnects.
