IP Profile

My IP profile from BT speedtester is 40.79 but according to Plusnet my line speed is 39Mb - is this correct?

Sounds right to me, one could be with overheads the other without. Also if your not on the fibre extra package, your speed will be capped to 38Mb anyway (maybe they set this to 39 on back end), if you are on extra I'd question the value given you speeds

Not necessarily
The Plusnet profile should be the same as the BT one rounded down to one decimal place - so 40.7 - unless as stated above you are on the 40/20 package
