IP Profile lower than sync speed

Hi there,

 

I have question 202886250 open, but I feel like my request is falling on deaf ears.

My router is syncing at just over 52mbit, but when I look in the member center my IP Profile is 47.4mbit and my maximum download speed is in the region of 44mbit. I have done countless speedtests via speedtest.btwholesale.com as requested by the support desk using a machine connected directly to the ethernet port of my PC. My router has been plugged into the test socket for the past 3 days, as requested by the support desk, but it has made no difference at all.

I have always achieved download speeds of about 50.5mbit in this house, and I have changed nothing since being with TalkTalk for 18 months and briefly migrating to Vodafone before coming (back) to Plusnet.

Please can someone let me know what can be done to increase the IP Profile so that my download speeds go back to what they were?

Correction: My download speed is about 46mbit. 4mbit difference (46 vs 50mbit) may not sound like a lot, but it's 10% which does add up over time.

Together with our network partners at Openreach we are prioritising customers who don’t have a phone line or broadband connection, meaning there might be a delay in Speed Faults being fixed. In the meantime, please raise your speed fault online at faults.plus.net
